Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics & Science Teaching (PAEMST)

The Awards: The PAEMST Program was established in 1983 and is administered for the White House by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

 

The competition alternates each year between teachers of grades K-6 and teachers of grades 7-12.

 

Nominations for 2011 Presidential Awards open Oct. 1, 2010 at this web site: https://www.paemst.org. (Note: The PAEMST website will not accept nomination before Oct. 1.)

 

The Montana Professional Teaching Foundation administers the award program in Montana.

 

Awardees Receive: 

  • A special citation signed by the president of the United States

  • A $10,000 NSF grant

  • A paid trip to Washington DC for two to attend special recognition events
