Letters to the editor
Letters to the editor are easy to write, and they get
more attention than any other section of the newspaper - including
the sports page. Just do it!
Keep the letter short, to the point, positive, and polite.
That's the best way to get it read.
You can send your letter by snail mail or e-mail. E-mail
is the fastest and easiest. Here's how to do it:
1. First, write your letter on your computer. Carefully check
grammar and spelling. This very important!!
2. Be sure to include your name, address, and phone number
at top or bottom. The newspaper will call to verify that it
was your letter.
3. Copy the whole letter.
4. Come back to this web site.
5. From the list below, choose the first newspaper you want
and click on the email address next to that newspaper. An
email message window will appear.
6. With your cursor in the body of the message, paste in
your letter ("Control V" in most programs.)
7. In the Subject area, type "Letter to Editor."
8. Click Send to send that message.
Repeat steps 5. through 9 to send the same letter to other
newspapers.
