604 Dues
1. Full dues level for active members for 2007-2008 shall
be $342, reflecting .0086 times the 2005-2006 Classroom Teachers
Average Salary of $39,755.
2. The full dues level shall be adjusted downward in 10 equal
steps for those earning less than the CTAS level of $39,755.

3. The full national dues level for MEA-MFT members shall
be the higher of the dues of the two national organizations,
rounded off to the nearest dollar.
4. In order to mitigate the impact of dues increases necessary
to bring dues into uniformity, no member's combined state
and national dues shall increase in any one year by more than
$2.00 per month ($24 per year) from their pre-merger level.
5. MEA-MFT Student Program member dues shall be $5. Active
members who have held membership in MEA-MFT student program
for at least one full-year and up to four years shall be allowed
$10 per year credit on their MEA-MFT dues in their first regular
year of employment.
6. a. Effective September 1, 2006, retired members may no
longer purchase Retired
MEA-MFT membership on an annual basis.
b. Effective September 1, 2006, Retired MEA-MFT lifetime
dues shall be $200.
7. a. Agency fee payers' local, state, and national fee obligation
total shall be established
annually by the MEA-MFT board of directors.
b. Agency fee payers shall be afforded only those rights
required by law (e.g. rights and protection afforded by terms
of local affiliate collective bargaining agreements.) They
shall not be afforded any right or benefit, including any
governance rights for which membership is required.
8. Associate member dues shall be equal to .05 of full active
dues. 2007-2008 associate member dues shall be $17.
