United States Department of Education Gateway to Educational Materials (GEM)

GEM is a terrific Internet resource for finding lesson plans, strategies, and materials that are instantly accessible and of high quality. Materials searches can be done by grade level and curriculum area, making the site highly user-friendly and efficient. www.thegateway.org

Global Schoolhouse

Creative lesson plans, cross-curricular themes, teacher networks, technology integration ideas, instructional video games, and much, much, more are offered at this Internet site, free of charge. If you're looking for fun ideas and ways to improve student learning in your classroom, don't miss this one. www.gsh.org

Montana Teacher Network (MTN)

A Montana-developed Internet site from MSU-Bozeman, the MTN provides shared lesson plans and ideas, as well as a wonderful web resources directory for teachers. The Web Resources page of the network is organized by curriculum area and contains links to a wealth of professional information from throughout the country. The MTN is a great place to start when looking for resources for your classroom. However, be forewarned that several of the links are outdated. www.metnet.state.mt.us/~mtn/index.htm

Teacher Resource Center at UM-Missoula

A great resource center that features Microsoft training, Eisenhower math and science curriculum materials and ideas, as well as terrific links to national resource sites organized by content areas.

Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory

An excellent resource. MEA-MFT is part of this organization, and our own Dennis Haverlandt, president of the Great Falls Education Association and MEA-MFT Board member, is secretary/treasurer on the NREL Board.
