Amazing Member Monica Sayler
Our latest Work That Matters postcard and newspaper ad feature
state employee and MEA-MFT member Monica Sayler.
Sayler
is an orientation and mobility specialist at the Montana School
for the Deaf and the Blind. She helps blind students from
ages three to 21 gain skills they need to travel self sufficiently.
Once they gain confidence, the world isnt scary
anymore, Sayler says. Her students learn not to let
their disability prevent them from taking control of their
lives. They learn they can do things like ride a bus, shop
for groceries, go to school, and get a job as part of Montanas
workforce.
Im concerned about peoples quality of life,
she says of her students. Our job is to put the best
interest of the child first.
Thank you, Monica, for doing Work That Matters for Montanas
people.
