Amazing Member Corey Boone

Student MEA-MFT member Corey Boone is a senior at the University of Montana-Missoula, preparing to become a teacher.

"I like kids," he says. "I like seeing them learn, and I learn a lot from them, too."

Corey has observed many grade levels in Lolo as part of his teacher preparation and has decided he wants to teach 4th and 5th grades. Kids that age are "fun and excited," he says.

That's great news for kids. Research shows that more male teachers are needed in elementary classrooms to provide good male role models for children.

Corey is excited to finish his univerisity classes and put his skills to work in a school.

Best of luck, Corey, and thanks for doing Work That Matters for kids!
