Montana state employees respond to House majority’s failure to take action on HB 13: state pay plan

WHAT: Dismayed at the House majority’s refusal last week to get HB 13, the negotiated state pay plan, to the House floor for debate and vote, Montana state employees will hold a news conference today.
State employee leaders and members from different local unions around the state will hold a brief news conference to talk about what failure to pass the pay plan would mean.
Speakers will include Dave Harris from the Montana State Prison; Rich Aarstad from Montana Historical Society; Lisa Tucker from Dept. of Environmental Quality; and other local leaders/state workers.
WHO: Montana state employee members of MEA-MFT, MPEA, and AFSCME; and supporters.
