Honoring frontline heroes during National Nurses Week

5-6-13

Whether it's advocating for patient safety, counseling a family, or taking care of a sick child, nurses are the frontline heroes across all care settings.

This week is National Nurses Week (May 6-12), a time to honor our nurses.

MEA-MFT is proud to count nurses and other healthcare professionals among our members. They do work that matters!

Nurses are committed to providing safe, high-quality care, accessible services, and health education and disease prevention to keep our communities healthy and productive. National Nurses Week provides an opportunity to give nurses the respect and dignity their lifesaving work entitles them to each and every day.

Patients trust nurses to look out for them, and nurses take that trust seriously. The fast-paced changes in the healthcare industry and the challenges implementing the Affordable Care Act require that nurses on the frontlines have the ability to speak up on behalf of their patients.

Thank you, nurses!
