News flash! Howie Rich's 3-headed monster
is dead!
Oct. 27, 2006: The Montana Supreme Court has ruled that the
three nasty initiatives, CI-97, I-154, and CI-98, are INVALID
due to pervasive fraud and deception in the signature gathering
process.
This is an enormous victory for all Montanans, and MEA-MFT
played the lead role in this victory.

About the initiatives
MEA-MFT's elected MEA-MFT COPE committee carefully reviewed
the following three ballot initiatives and voted to recommend
AGAINST them.
All three are pushed and funded by New York City real estate
tycoon Howie
Rich and his group, Americans for Limited Government.
The front group for all three is Montanans In Action, a group
that seems to have a lot of money (funneled from Howie Rich)
but only a couple of members. Any one of these initiatives
would turn Montana into a third-world banana republic.
These guys don't like public employees
or public services. Read more about them.
CI-97: So-called "SOS" or "budget cap"
CI-97 would gut funding for schools, firefighters, public
health, seniors, and more. That's what happened in Colorado,
the only state to pass a measure like CI-97. Read
more.
I-154: So-called "eminent domain"
I-154 allows irresponsible developers to skirt laws that protect
our homes, children, and neighborhoods. Read
more.
CI-98: So-called "judicial recall"
Allows a handful of citizens to petition to remove a judge
for "any reason" whatsoever. Read
more.
Why Howie Rich doesn't like you.
Why Howie Rich's Montana front group
doesn't like you either.
How Howie Rich and his front group used fraud
and deception to get these three bad initiatives on Montana's
ballot.
Why Howie's cronies used attack
ads against MEA-MFT members and other Montana public employees.
