Opportunity for retired teachers
Retired?
Not quite ready to completely walk away from kids, colleagues,
and schools?
Want to share your educational experience and insight with
teachers, administrators, and schools in search of greater
success?
Want to get paid for your efforts? Then check the following
opportunity out.
The Office of Public Instruction (OPI) has been entrusted
by the Board of Public Education to assist all schools in
the continuous school improvement process.
Selecting and training School Support Teams is about to become
an integral part of this process.
Support teams will conduct on-site visits to provide each
school they visit with a road map for the next steps in their
continuous school improvement process.
Recent retirees and other education stakeholders who
may be interested in this unique opportunity to work with
schools and districts can visit the OPI Web site at www.opi.mt.gov
to download the application.
Individuals who want to learn more about the process should
contact Margaret Bowles at (406) 444-0716 or mbowles@mt.gov
or BJ Granbery at (406) 444-4420 or bgranbery@mt.gov.
Enthusiastic, caring educators will make support teams a
valuable resource for our entire education community.
Applications must be submitted to the Office of Public Instruction
by November 1, 2005.
Selected individuals will be notified by November 30, 2005;
training and team work will follow soon after this date.
